Agility Dogs, As Seen On TV

The Dog Agility Program is new to the PCCI Philippine Canine Club Incorporated). The Team overlooking the said program, headed by Mr. Simon Sim, was featured in a local television station.

Hahah, Jasper was an "extra" during the TV program. As Jasper's mom, was of course excited, my baby on TV, hahah.

A Look At The Fly Ball Event

Here's a sneak preview of the Fly Ball Event this month.



It was fun to be there and watch. The audience was cheering for the dogs. The children were eagerly backing up the dogs, hoping that they will complete the task fast and without mistakes. Ready, get set, go!!!

Yooohoo, so many dogs, big, small, black, white, hairy, skinny, plump, cute and scary. So many of them being groomed, some over excited while others are dozing off, many are eating and drinking (both the dogs and the people).

Agility and Fly Ball Competition

Yoohoo! Jasper is off, trying out for "Agility" training.

The obstacles include:
o A-Frame
o Dogwalk
o Seesaw
o Tunnels
o Collapsed Tunnel
o Hurdles
o Weave Poles
o Pause Table

The PCCI (Philippine Canine Club Incorporated) is to hold their very first Agility and Fly Ball Competition this February 24, 25 and 26, 2012.

Let's Go Jasper

I've been busy preparing Jasper and his things so we can go off to the venue where we can do the agility training with other dogs and their owners.

It's fun because it is a new activity for me and Jasper plus we get to socialize with dogs, not only with our own breed. Pretty cool!

Not much grooming needed or lots of tools and kits to take as compared to being off for a dog show competition. That's a plus point.

Also, this type of training is good for a dog with lots of energy that needs re-directing. Jasper seems to fit that description.

So, let's go Jasper. Have to grab your crate, and off we go!

Begging Dog

After his daily bath, Joaqui has his gaze following me as I climb up the stairs. He wants to play ball upstairs.

He is a copy-cat or should I say, a copy-dog. He does a great imitation of "Puss-in-Boots", with those large, round, begging eyes.

His brows cover one of his big round eyes as he looks at me with whatever message he is sending.

Possibly just asking me to play with him.

Cool Day for a Walk

Joaqui and I were about to go for our morning walk when I felt a sudden gush of cool air. I needed something to warm me up, so I hooked up Joaqui to the car for a while and I ran inside the house for a light jacket.

I was confident Joaqui would be a behaved dog while I leave him for a while. True enough, he was not moving much when I came back to resume our plan of strolling in the neighborhood on that cool, fine day.
